![]() | Tanya J. Hagen, M.D is a sports medicine specialist with UPMC Center for Sports Medicine. An assistant professor of medicine and orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, she did her undergraduate training at UC Berkeley, and then received a masters degree and doctorate in medicine from Georgetown University. She completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Sports medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr Hagen has been with UPMC since 2002, caring for athletes on all levels both in her clinics at the Center for Sports Medicine and in training rooms. She has many responsibilities in the community, including head team physician for Robert Morris and Point Park University athletics, Pittsburgh Passion women’s professional football team, La Roche College and others. She is assistant team physician for the University of Pittsburgh and provides training camp medical coverage and sports medicine consultation to the Pittsburgh Steelers football club. In addition to clinical duties, Dr Hagen serves as director of the Sports medicine fellowship at UPMC Shadyside and provides teaching to medical students, residents and fellows from several different medical backgrounds. A sports and fitness enthusiast, Dr. Hagen lives in Mt. Lebanon with her husband and two boys. |
