Website Administrator I
Job Function/Responsibilities:
· Aid in updating official University of Pittsburgh Ice Hockey website
(www.pitthockey.com)
· Further development of some existing pages such as the Alumni Database
and History page
· Potential implementation of a website store, an interactive player
of the game poll, and other creative ideas that either candidate or organization
may possess
Qualfications:
· Experience with php and/or c is required
· Knowledge of linux/unix and relational databases is preferred, but
not required
· This Website Administrator I position can be combined with the Website
Adminstrator II position, or can be a position of its own
Benefits:
· The Website Administrator will serve as an officially appointed staff
member of University of Pittsburgh Men's Ice Hockey
· The Website Administrator will receive credit for his or her work on
the official website at www.pitthockey.com and in the club's annual program
book.
· This position has the potential for earnings with the implementation
of the online store. However, this position is otherwise strictly voluntary
and may be used toward earning academic credit.
· The Website Administrator will be reimbursed for any and all General
Manager/Board authorized expenses.
Rules and Regulations:
· The Website Administrator does not have the authority to enter into
any contracts, leases, alliances, partnerships, or any other kind of agreements
on behalf of the University of Pittsburgh.
· Furthermore, the General Manager/Board of Directors must approve any
and all expenditures that are to be paid from a University of Pittsburgh account.
· Any updates to the website www.pitthockey.com that reflect substantive
content must be approved by the General Manager and/or the Director of Website
Operations.
· The Website Administrator may not make any public representations about
the University of Pittsburgh and/or the Men's Ice Hockey Team unless the representation
is already public knowledge and is readily available through official team press
releases.
